Anand Balachandran, MD, FACC, attended Kannur University in India, and received his medical degree in 2005. Upon relocating to the United States, he conducted his internal medicine residency at The Brooklyn Medical Center, where he was appointed chief resident. In addition, he completed his fellowship training in cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical Center and Mount Sinai-Beth Israel-Brooklyn Hospital Center, graduating as chief fellow. Dr. Balachandran received board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Vascular Sonography and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Dr. Balachandran remains an active member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
